Dr Lavi Welcomes New Dream Team
As we greet the summer, Dr. Lavi is proud to welcome & introduce her new Dream Team of interns. Over the next few weeks, profiles of the all the team members will be featured in this newsletter. Our first Dream Team intern to be featured is Adam Sierzputowski. He is a Public Relations & Social Media intern, who will be helping with the newsletter among other projects. Adam is currently a rising senior at Roger Williams University. In addition to being a Media Communications: Public Relations major, Adam is also minoring in Marketing, Psychology, & Graphic Design. Adam hopes to gain hands on experience in social media & public relations. Adam says, “I chose my major after a professor defined PR’s objective as not just to help organizations reach their target clients but also to make the world a better place.” Adam believes this internship, “is a perfect fit for me that will allow me to use the skills I have gained from my education while helping improve the world.” Adam reports that when he learned about The Wake Up and Dream Challenge, he ” knew it was the kind of organization that would help learn how to use PR, Social Media & graphic design to make a difference. It will also help learn more about the field of psychology.”
Sad News for The Wake Up and Dream Challenge
Though we have gained new members to the Dream Team, we have lost an inspirational person who was featured in The Wake Up and Dream Challenge. Ruth Eisner, a resident at The R.H. Myers Apartments on the Menorah Park Campus, in Ohio recently passed away. She had always dreamed of being an actress. Menorah Park’s D.R.E.A.M. Program learned of her ambition & helped her film a youtube video showcasing her acting skills. The video went viral & Safe Auto Insurance discovered Ruth. She was chosen for a national ad campaign with billboards in 17 states. On TV commercials she portrayed a “Small but Mighty” woman wearing boxing gloves & tossing thugs into grocery store isles. It aired on TV & on billboards all over the United States! She said it made her last days the happiest she could have ever imagined. Last August, Dr. Lavi & her Dream Team had the pleasure & honor of meeting Ruth who was overjoyed to be featured in The Wake Up and Dream Challenge. She will be missed, but her inspiration lives on. To help support non-profits, such as the Menorah Park Campus, & keep making dreams come true you can donate to Menorah Parks’ D.R.E.A.M. program by purchasing “The Wake Up and Dream Challenge”.
