Dr. Lavi is proud to introduce Dream Team intern, Claire Freeman. Claire is the Human Resources intern, who is responsible for organizing projects, recruitment and other vital roles for the Dream Team. She is currently a rising junior studying Psychology and Business at Loyola University in Maryland. Claire’s goals are to learn more about the tasks a Human Resources professional is responsible for and to acquire the skills that are necessary to perform them. Claire can personally relate to The Wake Up and Dream Challenge stating that, “the book is all about making a path for your dreams and accomplishing them. For me, this internship is on my path to my dream career in the Human Resources field.” She likes how the internship allows her to perform more HR tasks than she would be able to anywhere else. “Dr. Lavi encourages us all to be creative and come up with tasks and procedures related to getting the word out about the book. I also enjoy learning how to build a strong cohesive Dream Team of interns.”

Sad News for The Wake Up and Dream Challenge

RuthEisnerThough we have gained new members to the Dream Team, we have lost an inspirational person who was featured in The Wake Up and Dream Challenge. Ruth Eisner, a resident at The R.H. Myers Apartments on the Menorah Park Campus, in Ohio recently passed away. She had always dreamed of being an actress.  Menorah Park’s D.R.E.A.M. Program learned of her ambition & helped her film a youtube video showcasing her acting skills.  The video went viral & Safe Auto Insurance discovered Ruth. She was chosen for a national ad campaign with billboards in 17 states. On TV commercials she portrayed a “Small but Mighty” woman wearing boxing gloves & tossing thugs into grocery store isles. It aired on TV & on billboards all over the United States! She said it made her last days the happiest she couldRuthie%20billboard have ever imagined.  Last August, Dr. Lavi & her Dream Team had the pleasure & honor of meeting Ruth who was overjoyed to be featured in The Wake Up and Dream Challenge. She will be missed, but her inspiration lives on. To help support non-profits, such as the Menorah Park Campus,  & keep making dreams come true you can donate to Menorah Parks’ D.R.E.A.M. program by purchasing  “The Wake Up and Dream Challenge”.
